About W&J Awald Farms, Inc.
In 1914 started by E.P. Geiger (Wes’s great grandfather) and his sons, the farm has been a labor of love. My Husband Wesley (4th generation) and I purchased this Nursery business from his parents Edward & Millie Awald in 2017. Prior to that my husband and I worked and managed their U-Pick Berry Operation as well as the Nursery Stock Operation for over 20+ years. With the experience and knowledge we have learned over the past 20+years we are very knowledgeable in not only the plant production part of our farm but specifically the characteristics of the fruit the plants bare on all of our varieties of bare root plants we grow & sell. We continue to expand our offerings to you, our loyal customers; from red, black & golden raspberries, blackberries, currants & grapevines, you can always expect quality plants, excellent customer service, and knowledgeable advice from a family of fourth-generation growers.
Our Fall Entertainment farm
Since our fall season is so short, we wanted to extend our season a bit and offer our customers the family tradition of visiting our farm for the Christmas season as we do the fall season. So in 2018, we started transitioning our fall entertainment farm into a Christmas winter land, offering already cut trees, Beautiful handmade Christmas wreaths, and created a unique Christmas store in our Round Barn where you are sure to find something for someone on your list or maybe even something for yourself!
